We highly recommend this tour. We went as a multigenerational family group of 5; 20’s and 70’s. It was a whole day trip that included a very enjoyable ride up the Douro valley and wine tastings, boat ride, tours and lunch. Our driver Miguel was very skilled on the narrow roads and we felt totally safe. Our tour guide Igor was fantastic! He provided an enjoyable atmosphere, was knowledgeable, professional and personable at the same time. He made the whole day so much fun for us all and we can’t recommend him and Miguel enough!

Everything is great, until it isn’t. GYG App showed my confirmation of two different activities booked on two different days, in reality, they were booked on same day. 90 mins of texting w customer service confirmed GYG’s app error yet GYG refused to refund the second booking “as it’s within 24 hour cancellation.” I have escalated to my credit card, with full documentation, a further waste of my time. GYG rep acknowledged their error but hid behind cancel policy. Zero responsibility. Stick to Viator.

Harry best tour guide in Kyoto Japan. Very knowledgeable information about the country and does great work for Tour company. Spoke very good Spanish and all of my visitors that I came with only speak Spanish with me.

I used this app to book all of my “Christmas in NY” excursions and dining. Not only was it easy but also helpful by sending reminders and checking in afterwards for feedback. I even used it to make last minute dining changes. I highly recommend this app, one of the best out there for frequent or first time travelers.

We would give Emma 6 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if we could. Her enthusiasm, kindness, humor, knowledge and passion for the Vatican made the 3-hour tour go by in no time. We covered so much without any of it being boring. We are grateful for Emma bringing the history and artifacts of the Vatican to life in such a short time. She is a natural born teacher.

If you should be so lucky to get Asuka as a tour guide consider yourself lucky. She is patient, knowledgeable, and she guides through crowded train , bus stations you with such ease that he feel like you’re hanging out with one of your friends that is a local. She anticipate our next move so you don’t lose any time. Keeping the group together. We wanted to hire her for the rest of our 2 week visit to Japan. She is awesome.

Taking a tour with this app is very easy and you can find a good tour nearby with safe companies and good prices. So far, I used this app at different countries and I found good prices with good quality and services.

Today my wife and I took this day tour and it was not just a great experience to visit these sites, but the driver Fabio was very skilled, the guide Laura was great with keeping on track and sharing information the whole way. The guide at Pompeii, John, was a subject matter expert and brought that city back to life and all done with a sense of humor along the way. Would highly recommend others to take this tour.

Get Your Guide is an easy to use app for traveling. I used it to communicate with the guides we had for our tours and it was very convenient. It also gives you reminders about your experiences. I will definitely use it again!

Don’t do it! It’s difficult to find your tour guides the day of the tour and everyone is scrambling around like chickens with their heads cut off. The tea ceremony literally is you sitting in a crowded room and stirring powder into hot water. You drink it and you leave. It’s like 5 minutes! The place is like a cafeteria. The food was cold and tasted like frozen food from my freezer. This tour was disappointing. Please don’t do this and don’t waste your money.

Ran into this app on Google and so glad I did! I booked experiences for our honeymoon in the Bahamas and was pleasantly surprised to see that we ended up doing some of the most highly recommended things that the natives suggested…without me even knowing in advance! My husband surprisingly loved the Graycliff Afternoon Tea the best, which was a suggestion from this app! I love how detailed everything is, including rules, dress code, and what to bring. Didn’t have any problems with checking in to our activities.

This company is a third-party and has awful directions and does not back the contractor that they’ve hired. They have you meeting at locations that do not have much meaning in the middle of a neighborhood that none of the taxi drivers have never heard of the meeting point does not have the correct address. And is not great. I don’t recommend this company in any way way shape or form.

I used this app to book, but I was double-charged for an event. I can’t seem to get anyone to reverse one of the charges.

I’ve used GetYourGuide for a few trips over the years now. I’ve found it great for personalized travel in various locations. I’ve mainly used it in Europe, and found it very convenient place to look for additional trips beyond just walking around the city. I like independent travel, and found getyourguide’s options to fit in well with my travel preferences

Booked a last minute twilight safari tour in La Fortuna Costa Rica. Everything went smoothly and the tour was fantastic!

GYGFWW2H8V9Y - I was extremely disappointed with our St Peters Basilica dome tour. I kindly ask for a refund 1) our tour guide told us to be there by 7:25am or we would risk losing our ticket. We arrived by 7:20. Our tour guide did not show up until 7:50am. Our actual St Peters dome tour was supposed to start at 7:45am. we did not get out tickets until 8am or so. This caused us to cut our overall tour short since we had another site seeing your planned afterwards. 2) we paid 53 for this tour which h was supposed to include an audio tour. Our tour guide had not purchased the tickets and we had to wait in line to purchase tickets. Additionally, he had us download an audio guide from Rick Steves. Rick Steve’s provides these audio guides free online. The tickets purchased were only €10 each so total €20. I feel totally scammed. I am a Rick Steves fan and already had this free audio guide. I could have paid €20 on my own vs 53. 3) the tour guide asked for my phone to see the bar code from get your guide. He then walked ahead and started typing on my phone. I had the pull the phone away from him. He was typing out a review on my phone for himself. He was giving g 5 stars and typing out a review. I pulled my phone away and deleted the review. This was completely inappropriate and an invasion of my privacy. I am so disappointed. I hope you read the above carefully and take the appropriate actions. I again respectfully ask for a refund. Thank you

The tour started of good. However, it then became deceitful! I paid 110 dollars just to walk around short distances. The agreement in my understanding is that we would get lunch free. It says it if that wasn’t the case why would they take us to a restaurant, when it was plenty to choose from. Then they told us we if we wanted to go into famila we had to pay an extra $44 OK so we said we do not want to go with the tour guys we have to pay anyways if we don’t wanna go in we still owe the $44 then I said don’t wanna go in he said you have to pay $18 to go into the park portion of it. This was not all explaining to us on our voucher, we double checked show the guy and he still didn’t believe us that he had to have it then we found out that lunch was not included and we had to pay for the lunch that we ate at a restaurant. We did not choose even though the food was good. I will never use this guy again.

It’s really helpful my days in Paris. I can skip lines in museums. I can get better rate here rather than at ticket office. Help desk is always ready to support me. Thank you

I booked an excursion and drove an hour and the guide never showed up. I have not been able to post a negative review so all the Reviews are trash.

Great deals on activities and very helpful customer service

This used to be my favorite tool for booking tours and tickets while traveling. Being able to message providers using the app was very convenient. In the recent past, many of the guides were direct users of the app. But now, in some countries, e.g., Japan, GetYourGuide listings are by companies who hire low cost labor to provide services. These people are not necessarily knowledgeable on local culture, history, or nature, and more like shuttles drivers than tour guides. They also don’t have access to the GetYourGuide app and can only message customers using WhatsUp. So if you notice that the description of the activity mentions that you can communicate with your guide using a third party messaging app, consider choosing a different provider. After many years of having great experiences with GetYourGuide providers, we had two very negative experiences in two different countries within the past year and found out the hard way that GetYourGuide doesn’t really provide full or partial refunds when the provider fails to deliver what is promised in their listing. In the last incident, the provider did not contact us to confirm the pickup, showed up with a different vehicle than what was described in the listing, took us to only two of the five attractions, and threw a tamper tantrum when he tried to force us leave him positive feedback in the middle of our tour.

I was forced to download this app in order to look up a voucher that they could've EASILY emailed me. While trying to access my voucher in line at the Sistine Chapel, the app kept trying to make me update my preferences and agree to share my data, causing me to hold up the line and look stupid. Get My Guide was a good service for buying tickets, but the app is annoying and only exists to farm your data! Thumbs down!

We had a vehicle accident and the provider here refused to refund or reschedule what so ever. I would be more than willing to pay a fee. This is over a thousand dollars and terrible that they have no means to help in a scenario like this. Never book with them as you will get the short end of the stick.

GET YOUR GUIDE has no idea of proper customer service. They are so far removed from reality and have not a clue as to what customer service is. DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING WITH THEM!

We went on a “Follow in the footsteps of Saint Paul tour” to Corinth. Panos was our guide and he did amazing. Not only was this tour private to myself & my husband, but Panos was so knowledgeable about everything. He had an answer to every question, he would let us get out and roam around for as long as we wanted to, and showed us more than Corinth. We saw the mountain of Sparta and a brand new excavation of a Roman city located in ancient Corinth. Apparently this was only discovered six months ago, so this was very cool to experience. Once the tour was over, we asked him to take us to a local eatery that has amazing food. Not only did he take us there, but he offered to stay until we were done eating to take us home. He went above and beyond with service and taught us so much history in one day! If/when we visit Athens again, we will be reaching out to Panos!

Louis is passionate and knowledgeable about the history of Spain. He provides interesting context to the region while we enjoyed amazing local fare. If you’re into history this is a fabulous tour!

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a camel ride through the Agafay Desert in Morocco, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the journey. Our guide, Youseff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly local, made the entire experience unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, he welcomed me with a warm smile and a deep understanding of the desert’s history, culture, and natural beauty. This was very special especially because I was a solo traveler. The camel ride itself was an absolute highlight. The camels were adorable. Our guide for the Camel ride, Mohamed, was very knowledgeable, welcoming and caring! The pace was relaxed, allowing us to take in the sweeping views of the vast desert landscape and rugged mountains in the distance. One of the best parts of the experience was watching the sunset over the desert horizon. The colors in the sky were breathtaking, and our guide knew just the perfect spot to stop for photos, ensuring that we captured the moment beautifully. Throughout the ride, our guide was attentive and always ready to answer any questions, making sure that everyone was comfortable and had a chance to take in the surroundings at their own pace. Youssef even helped with some fun photos, making me feel like a true explorer of the desert. The live music was an absolute highlight as well! The musicians were amazing!! It was my first time being exposed to Berber music and I fell in love with it! The rhythm really touches the soul! To complete this amazing experience the fire show was spectacular! What a talent! If you’re looking for an authentic desert adventure with a knowledgeable guide, I highly recommend this camel ride in the Agafay Desert. The combination of stunning scenery, rich cultural insights, and excellent service made this a truly memorable experience. Would definitely do it again!

Downloaded the app and tried to enter my upcoming booking. It kept sending me the email requests for a confirmation code. But once the code was entered, it kept making the same request again and again. Tried to get support via chat. Worthless.

I have been a loyal and returning customer to Get Your Guide for 3 years and have spent so much money on different tours. However, this time I am very disappointed. I accidentally booked two Eifel Tower tours and tried to cancel both since my plans were also canceled. The tour is not for another two months, but Get Your Guide now has a policy on some tours that you can only get 50% of your refund back (again the tour is another 2 months away). I spoke to 4 different representatives all of which told me I couldn’t get my full refund back and didn’t even help me out with the one I accidentally booked. They also gave me the providers email to ask them about the refund only to find out they sent me right back to Get Your Guide. Think twice before you book tours. I have now lost $100 on each tour. I did not see the fine print and know that most of the tours are fully refundable up until 24 hours. Sincerely, A very loyal and disappointed customer.

We had a great tour with Mark. He was knowledgeable and entertaining. There was a lot of historic information and he had great presence, delivery, and humor to keep the audience engaged. He answered questions and kept us moving at a good pace. The tour group included multi-generations and multiple nationalities. He seemed to engage all with ease. I recommend this tour and Mark.

I used this app for 4 different tours this week in Paris. All went smoothly and the guides were exceptional. I will use them again the next time I come to Paris and will recommend them to my friends.
